Colony: Social Dialogue for Student Interns

Through the Career Exploration Program (CEP), high school, undergraduate, and graduate students are placed in STEM and business project based internships under a NASA Technical Mentor at NASA Johnson Space Center. The paid internships provide financial assistance to increase retention and completion of college degrees.

USRA developed Colony, a Career Exploration Program (CEP) social media blog site that transforms program information into social dialogue. The site allows CEP students to share internship experiences and program accomplishments with other students as well as to interact with program management in a format that blends the use of technology and social interaction. Colony provides valuable college and scholarship resources, and serves as a communication platform for CEP students, alumni, and staff.

USRA has managed NASA's Career Exploration Program since September 2006.
