Davide joined USRA in 2012 when NASA Ames Research Center kickstarted the Quantum Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (QuAIL) group. Since then, he has been working for USRA under the NASA Academic Mission Service Contract to grow the quantum team at NASA, and performing research with a technical focus on near-term implementation of quantum algorithms for optimization. Since 2020 he is Associate Director at USRA’s Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science where he manages additional research programs on quantum computing as principal investigator funded by DARPA or the National Science Foundation (NSF) in collaboration with the private and academic sector.
