Dr. Neelam currently holds the position of Earth Scientist at the Universities Space Research Association (USRA), where she leads research endeavors focusing on water-carbon studies. Before joining USRA, she made significant contributions to NASA Goddard, where her work centered on the estimation of soil moisture using remote sensing platforms. Driven by her passion for collaborative efforts, she thrives in leading and participating in multi-disciplinary projects and teams, striving to provide innovative solutions to intricate challenges.
Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Neelam dedicates her time to various professional services, having served on several esteemed NASA panels and journals. Additionally, she co-founded the DEI committee at NASA Goddard, demonstrating her dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her remarkable team efforts were recognized with an award from NASA Headquarters. Dr. Neelam earned her PhD from Texas A & M University in College Station.
