Dr. Sean McDarby completed a BS in Chemistry at Southern Connecticut State University where he conducted research creating Metal-Organic Framework precursors involving the manipulations of air-free inorganic pathways. He then attained a PhD in Chemistry at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, developing electrochemical synthetic approaches to producing shaped noble metal nanoparticles. Current he is a postdoctoral research associate for USRA and works with the Materials Chemistry and Physics Branch at NASA GRC to make novel boron nitride based polymer and ceramic composite materials for electrical aviation and space applications.
