Dr. Rosa Padilla, DEI Member

Dr. Rosa Padilla completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Systems Engineering and with a minor in education from the University of California, Davis. She obtained a doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine with an emphasis in combustion. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Air Force Research Lab in Edwards where she led experiments of liquid fuel properties at high-pressure. She joined USRA at NASA Glenn Research Center in October 2018, where her focus has been in spacecraft fire safety, specifically in the development of ground experiments that involve understanding the risks from lithium-ion battery fires.
